Not a lot of people are aware that the playing field is gifted to the local community of Ettiley Heath. The field is used regularly as a play area for children, football games and dog walkers, but if the field is not maintained the gift could be removed and the land sold for planning – which we would all like to avoid.
A small number of volunteers generously give their own time and money to maintain the field, however each year extra funding is required for replacement equipment and maintenance, and to pay the public liability insurance required to keep the area open as a public space (currently ~£300/annum).
If you or your friends, family or pets enjoy using the field, why not get in touch and find out how you can help keep this valued area available for the local community. Just a few minutes a month would make a huge difference to those who are already committed to the cause.
