The Ettiley Heath Playing Field Association is a registered charity formed for the sole purpose of retaining the playing field within the community. The field was gifted to the community on the understanding that a committee of volunteers would maintain the field, in line with the constitution, for the benefit of the local community. By adhering to the constitution, the land continues to be available as a communal area for dog walkers and children to play and is currently protected from the building and industrial unit developers!
If we wish to keep this green open space away from developers, we need your help and support to raise funds to pay for running costs such as Public Liability Insurance, grass cutting and general maintenance.
Our aim is to raise £5000 which will support the costs of the field for the next 3-4 years and will also fund ground maintenance by either an annual maintenance mowing contract or the purchase of an additional mower. The committee intend to raise this by holding a variety of social events and activities such as the Family Fun Day.
If you aren’t able to attend the Family Fun Day but would like to help us achieve our target, a 30 day crowd funding page has been opened with Just Giving. Please show your support by donating online at https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/joanne-stanfield-1. All donations made are gratefully received! If the internet isn’t your thing then cheque or cash donations can be made at the Rookery Tavern, Elton Road where raffle tickets can also be purchased. There are some fabulous prizes to be won including a free cut & blow-dry and Kobo Reader!
